Gary Tetsuo Arita, 60, of Hilo died June 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was proprietor of the former Arita’s Auto Repair and coach for Hawaii AJA Baseball, Wreckers Big League, and Babe Ruth summer ball. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Joanne Arita of Hilo; brother, Calvin (Cathy) Arita of Pepeekeo; sister, Gwen Santos of Pepeekeo; brothers-in-law, Alan (Gail) Shiraishi and Glenn (Roxanne) Shiraishi of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Joyce Manning of Hilo and Stella (Jerry) Itamura of Torrance, Calif.; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Dolores “Loleng” Gallegos Castaneda, 77, of Captain Cook, formerly of Kaneohe, Oahu, died June 1 at home.
